
Jesse Bonnell (Artistic
Director) As Artistic
Director of PDG, Jesse has conceived and directed seven original performance works. In 2009, Poor Dog Group collaborated with
Croatian director, Lenka Udovicki, to develop an original work, titled Serial #17 that coincided with the launching
of the PDG Performance Warehouse in downtown Los Angeles. His work has been presented at the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum,
The Philadelphia Live Arts Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival,
REDCAT, The University of Zagreb, The Armory Center for the Arts, Elephant Theater, The Echo UCLA, The Grotowski Institute’s
The World as a Place of Truth and the U.S. Artist Initiative, an international theater festival that coincided
with the Grotowski Year 2009. That July, PDG toured, The Internationalists throughout Eastern Europe including, Croatia,
Poland and Serbia, winning first place at the Skradin International Theater Festival. He has taught workshops at The California Institute of the Arts, The University of
Zagreb and at The University of California Santa Barbara. Jesse earned his BFA from the California Institute of the
Arts.
